Beneath a glowing amber moon reflected across dark water, two female figures stand at the edge of an imagined landscape rendered in saturated jewel tones of cobalt, moss, crimson, and plum. The brushwork is instinctive and emotionally charged, giving the scene a raw, almost mystical energy reminiscent of Nordic expressionism and outsider modernist painting. The work carries enormous atmosphere...intimate, theatrical, and slightly surreal. Finished in an original warm gilt frame with linen matting, there is beautifully grounded tension with the intensity of the palette.
