FAQ

FAQs

Where are the pieces from?

I (Ashley) hand-source the Portuguese baskets in the Algarve, the Italian ceramics from Puglia, and the art is primarily from Sweden and England, however I have sourced pieces from Finland, Spain, France, America, Belgium, Germany, and Holland. The rugs are also primarily from Sweden however there are some rugs from Turkey and Iraq. I also go antiquing and estate sale- attending in Miami (or where ever I am traveling) as much as possible. (My poor family- bless! They’re always being dragged along haha.)

I am on the hunt for pieces that make my heart sing to bring to The Beaux Store 24/7.

Are all pieces one-of-a-kind or vintage?

Yes, all items are one-of-a-kind and/or vintage. Our favourite part about that is the resulting blemishes, marks, dings, fades, tears and worn areas. Aka, patina and character! This does not make them defective, it makes them unique. Each piece has a story, and each story is completely different. Please keep that in mind whilst shopping and curating lifelong pieces to surround you in your home.

Are the rugs cleaned?

You bet. All rugs are professionally cleaned here in Miami before arriving in your home.

Tell me more about shipping

We try to turn around orders to get them off to their new forever homes as soon as possible. We understand that purchasing art is a considered purchase, not a casual one, so we value your time by shipping as soon as possible. Please give us 24-48 hours before they are popped into the mail.

Additionally, for international orders, please note that we are legally required to note the correct amount paid on invoices and there may be import duties/taxes due upon delivery.

What are shipping terms?

Each piece is wrapped and packaged by Ashley. I aim to ship placed orders as soon as possible.

Please allow for extra time for international orders to arrive due to the nature and distance the parcel must cover.

Please note that The Beaux Store is not responsible for incurred duties and customs, and we are legally responsible to note the sold prices on invoices when submitting to customs.

What are import duty examples if I purchase a piece to come to the UK?

As a loose rule of thumb, the UK import duty is usually a standard 20% VAT, which is paid directly via the courier.

When do new items go live?

Whenever new pieces arrive in the studio. Hopefully the first dibs emails feel like surprise Christmases when they go out as they are always a surprise.

I also offer art consultations to help clients get an idea of art selections in their space and to offer industry-vetted tips.

Do you upcycle packaging materials?

Whenever possible. Some parcels go out with 95% upcycled packaging!

Could I rent pieces for shoots?

On strictly a case by case basis to the trade. Please email here.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes! Please sign up here if you are an interior designer, architect, or fellow member of the trade.

Do you have a physical location?

No, I operate strictly online at the present. However I am happy to make special videos to send over to you of the pieces you’d like to see/compare and at my discretion, a facetime call. However, videos are usually higher quality. :)

How can I see pieces that aren’t yet listed on the website or get priority previews?

Sign up for First Dibs to take advantage of pre-instagram pricing and first looks at any and all new pieces that arrive into the Studio.

We often use insured UPS ground. Whilst generally delivered within 3-4 days, sometimes there can be delays within their own networks.
