A striking sculptural urn with a strong neoclassical silhouette, rendered in cool-toned aluminium with a beautifully softened, aged surface. The exaggerated flared shoulders, shield-like body and architectural pedestal base give it real presence... somewhere between classical antiquity and early modernist design. Edged but smooth at the same time, substantial yet quiet, it works just as well empty as an object in its own right as it does holding a loose arrangement of branches or flowers.
