A beautifully simple vintage British pewter plate, with a broad rim, shallow well and the wonderfully mottled surface that only comes with age. The pewter has developed a deep charcoal-grey patina, with subtle variations and markings that give it real presence despite its pared-back form. Lovely displayed upright among an art stack or layered into a collection of paintings and objects...equally good left completely alone on a wall or shelf. Sourced in England.
