The Flowers in Blue
A wonderfully expressive British floral oil, painted with thick, almost sculptural brushwork gives the entire surface a gorgeous sense of movement. Loose clusters of coral, russet and dusky pink flowers emerge from a wonderfully muddied ground of sage, blue and soft green, reminiscient more an impression of a garden than a traditional still life. The elongated format makes it particularly decorative. Newly framed in a Harry Eagle frame, finished in a chalky blue Farrow and Ball colour, it is romantic without being remotely saccharine, and full of texture and character.
Keep out of direct sunlight and gently dust with a soft cloth.
