The Green Apples
$1,015.00
A refined and elegantly composed still life with a slightly surreal, almost theatrical quality. Set against an inky black ground, a sculptural brown bottle, two green apples and a single tiny flower are arranged with extraordinary restraint, each object given just enough light to emerge from the darkness. The tension between the delicacy of that impossibly slender glass against the weight of the bottle behind it...the whole thing feels precise and atmospheric. From Finland.
The artist was born in 1926.
Keep out of direct sunlight and gently dust with a soft cloth.
