A century-old, beautifully intimate Swedish etching of a sleeping figure, curled quietly into herself and rendered with wonderful linework. The small scale of the work gives it the feeling of something private, almost a page taken from an artist’s sketchbook, while the generous mount gives the composition plenty of breathing room. Soft, tender and wonderfully understated, presented in a slim vintage frame with a subtle gilt edge. From 1922.
