A striking larger-scale coastal oil, built from wonderfully geometric planes of rock and sea in an unexpectedly beautiful palette of coral, ochre, moss green, turquoise and blue. The Swedish artist breaks the shoreline into almost mosaic-like blocks of colour, while ribbons of white surf bring movement through the composition. There’s something distinctly modernist about it... the landscape simplified almost to abstraction, but still unmistakably wild and elemental. A fantastic midcentury statement piece, particularly good at this generous scale.
Keep out of direct sunlight and gently dust with a soft cloth.
