A beautifully spare winter landscape, hailing from Sweden, this is a lithograph numbered 9/20 in pencil, and signed and dated. It is rendered with an almost whisper-light touch. A snow-covered path or frozen waterway winds gently through the composition, punctuated by a handful of bare trees and slender fence posts disappearing into the distance. The near-monochromatic palette and extraordinary amount of open space give it a wonderfully meditative; less about describing the landscape than capturing its silence. Delicate, restrained and quietly transporting, presented with a warm neutral mount in a slim silvered frame.
