A wonderfully atmospheric mid-century winter landscape, painted with a loose, expressive hand in icy blues, soft lilacs and chalky whites. Tall, slender pines punctuate the snowy woodland, while a scattering of tiny evergreens leads the eye deeper into the scene. There’s a lovely stillness to it, wintry without feeling bleak,and the flashes of violet through the distant trees give the whole thing an unexpectedly modern palette. Signed and dated 1966, and presented in its original warm wood frame.

Keep out of direct sunlight and gently dust with a soft cloth.
